Hey all! Well, its been a while but we’re still working through a lot of J5 tasks between getting one back up and operational and the brand new build. No images to show just yet but the new head is coming along despite a few set backs with printers and such. Resin printing has been great however its not without its set backs (though what 3d printing isn’t?!). We thought we had some bad resin, then once we tried out that we thought there was an issue with the build plate, then the fep sheet we were using or the temp we were trying to print at. Eventually found it was the screen yet it looked fine.

Unfortunately we don’t possess all the tools and skills to scratch build J5’s head out of aluminium and steel or even have the inventory for all the greeblies adorning him but we do have the CAD which again is courtesy of the Input Inc Team (of which Dave is part of) but with the printer back on track so is progress.

We’re working to some pretty tight deadlines to try and get Dave’s Wrexham build all back together again after some repairs and updates in order to ensure he’s all set for the next comic con or other event. Interestingly each time he does an outing we come back with ideas on what areas would benefit from upgrades.
